Sydney Sehr Id HW 1

 Video 1:


    In this video, I learned some basic things for using InDesign. There are many different tools that can help you create artwork like a poster, magazine, or other media. Specifically the align tool and the text frame tool will be easy to use to create my own art, and to make it look put together and good. I like how the video gave us ways to make designs efficiently and also cleanly.

Video 2:

    In this video, it goes over the most simple and commonly used tools on In design. These are the tools like the text tool, shape tool, and also the selection tool. I believe that these tools will be easy to use and will help me create my designs when we start using InDesign in class. I liked how it showed the basic tools, and how to use them and how simple designs can be after getting the hang of it.

Video 3:

    In this video, I was able to learn quickly about all of the InDesign tools. It helped give me an idea of what I could use these tools for in class when we start InDesign. These tools seem like they can easily be used and that I can get the hang of them pretty quickly. I think with a bit of practice I would be able to really get the hang of InDesign as a whole.

  Final Caligramme: My Letter To My Future Self: Dear Future Sydney Sehr, I hope you’re doing well! I am writing this letter to you for your digital media class, how was it? I know that this class was a requirement but I hope you learned a lot from it and are able to use it in the future for jobs, or anything else? How did college go for you? We majored in psychology, and were wondering whether we wanted to focus more on developmental psychology or forensic psychology. Which did we end up choosing, or did we not choose either?   Original Files Used:  Final Image: Artist Statement:  In this piece of art known as an Autoscopy, I have placed myself into what reminds me of a fairytale fairyland with lots of nature beforehand, and as well as the nature I have added. I feel like this image also represents me as I am a very outdoorsy person. Growing up, I had a fairy themed bedroom and this really sparked the inspiration for what I wanted to do.
