Sydney Sehr Ps PL 1

Video 1 Response:

After watching this first video, I have discovered the Lasso tool, which selects a part of an image you draw a circle around, then hit edit to remove it. I think I will be able to use this tool easily and frequently when I want to get rid of something, especially if the background is simpler. Another tool that I learned about in this video is the patch tool, which can be used for replacing a part of the image with another, which I also think I will need, and I will be able to use easy. What I found interesting about this video is that he would give definitions about what tool is, and the words in them which I thought was very helpful.

Video 2 Response:

In this video, he focuses using the Spot Healing Brush, which will clean up a surface. He gave a tip to make a new layer which is helpful. You can change the size of the brush, and then click which sounds pretty simple and I think it will come in handy. The other tool he discusses is the Patch Tool, you can select an area, and control where a patch is coming from and going, which I think is even more helpful than the Spot Healing Brush after watching this video. I found it interesting and helpful that he showed us the keys to use these tools on the keyboard, and their icons. Also, he showed how to save it in a way that the image is still editable.

Video 3 Response:

In this video, he quickly goes over the most common photoshop tools, he shows that there are different types of each tool. For example, within the Lasso Tool, there is also the Magnetic Lasso Tool, that uses a sort of stand to see what its outlining or grabbing to. I think that is helpful to have different types of each tool. Another tool he goes over is the Magic Wand tool, and that is helpful when you add a quick area of color. This tool is a bit confusing to me in this video, but I think once I know how to work it, it would be helpful. I think this video is interesting because he showed all the tools that fall under the main tools, that can help in many different situations.
