The internet was first created in the 1950s originating in the United States of America. At this time in America, it was during the Cold War, and the invention of internet was then used so that the Americans communicate safely without dangers from the Soviet Union during the war.  Today, the internet is used to connect computers and their information around the world. The machines holding the internet were very big, unlike today, and were accessible by military scientists, and universities. The internet was founded or created by many scientists and engineers who came and worked together on the internet. A few to be named are Paul Baran who was an engineer, and Lawrence Roberts, Leonard Kleinrock, and Donald Davies who were scientists from both American and British origin. after coming together, these individual and more not mentioned were able to come up with the internet by doing research and creating networks.

The World Wide Web was invented to collect networks, and data into one whole simple system. The World Wide Web was invented in 1989 by Tim Berners-Lee, who is a British scientist. This was created by Tim Berners-Lee to share information quicker amongst scientists. So originally, the World Wide Web was for scientists to communicate, similarly now the World Wide Web is used for sharing information, like networks, globally all in one place.

The Internet and the World Wide Web are similar, although they have more differences than similarities. The World Wide Web is like an extension of the internet. The internet is connecting computers around the world, but the World Wide Web is collecting all of that information from the internet and putting it into one place. The internet is a super set for the world wide web while the WWW is a subset of the internet. Therefore, the internet and the World Wide Web platforms work together.

The first website ever invented was info.cern.ch which was made for the World Wide Web being made. This website was also created by Tim Berners-Lee and his World Wide Web team. This website is still up and the url link to this website is http://info.cern.ch/hypertext/WWW/TheProject.html.

Hedy Lamarr was an Austrian actress when besides acting, she played a big role in technology and developing things we use today like wifi, bluetooth, etc. Lamarr was a very beautiful actress and that is what caught the peoples eyes, but she was also very intelligent. There is a song by Johnny Depp and Jeff Beck called "This is a Song For Hedy Lamarr" and this was written because of how much pressure Lamarr had on her while being famous, and praising her for being this amazing actress and developer.

Bluetooth was first invented by Intel, Ericson and Nokia, and more specifically Jim Karachi. it originated from King Harald Bluetooth, after him uniting Scandinavia as the goal of Bluetooth is to unite different electronics wirelessly. The bluetooth logo looks the way it does because it is combining the two initials of Harald, Halal and Bjarkan.

Hedy Lamarr was known as the "mother of Wi-Fi". Wi-Fi was then developed by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers in 1997. At the time Wi-Fi was originally named IEEE 802.11b.  The original name of Wi-Fi was then changed to Wi-Fi by the Wi-Fi Alliance, which was a global industry very big in technology, and that is where the name originated from.
