Sydney Sehr Portfolio

Image
Artist Statement:  In this portfolio, I displayed all of the art work that I have created this semester in an organized and appealing way. This portfolio I was able to make it my own, and choose the colors and fonts that I wanted. This was a great way for me to represent myself, and also show what I have been able to accomplish while being in Digital Media. While completing this portfolio, I was very proud of how far I have come, and how much I've learned in this class and this is a great way for me to show off my hard work.

Sydney Sehr MoodBoard

Image
MoodBoard:  Artist Statement:     In this assignment, I created a moldboard based on what I want my Final Portfolio to look like. With this  moldboard, I was able to visualize how to make my Final Portfolio represent me, and all of my work in my ideal design. I chose colors that were appealing to me, as well as fonts, while also keeping in consideration what looks appealing in general and not just to me. This is not only preparing me for my portfolio, but also making me excited to make my portfolio truly me.

Sydney Sehr Business Card

Image
Sketches: Final Images: Artist Statement: In these pieces of art, I. have created business cards for myself using the logos I previously made for myself. These logos as I have previously stated, represent me and who I am, as it is a more appealing visual of my name rather than just writing it. I then used my favorite color schemes to make a business card, with fake information, but layouts that I think looked the best. I enjoyed making these because I was able to represent myself in colors, layouts, and my previous logo that is who I am.

Sydney Sehr Id HW 1

Video 1:      In this video, I learned some basic things for using InDesign. There are many different tools that can help you create artwork like a poster, magazine, or other media. Specifically the align tool and the text frame tool will be easy to use to create my own art, and to make it look put together and good. I like how the video gave us ways to make designs efficiently and also cleanly. Video 2:      In this video, it goes over the most simple and commonly used tools on In design. These are the tools like the text tool, shape tool, and also the selection tool. I believe that these tools will be easy to use and will help me create my designs when we start using InDesign in class. I liked how it showed the basic tools, and how to use them and how simple designs can be after getting the hang of it. Video 3:      In this video, I was able to learn quickly about all of the InDesign tools. It helped give me an idea of what I could u...

Sydney Sehr Autoscopy

Image
Original Files Used:  Final Image: Artist Statement:  In this piece of art known as an Autoscopy, I have placed myself into what reminds me of a fairytale fairyland with lots of nature beforehand, and as well as the nature I have added. I feel like this image also represents me as I am a very outdoorsy person. Growing up, I had a fairy themed bedroom and this really sparked the inspiration for what I wanted to do. I was able to play around with tools, and colors, and really stick myself into a fairytale like I've dreamed of when I was little.

Sydney Sehr Ps HW 2

Image
  1. I think this image would be really hard to photoshop myself into because all of the people are in the small mirror, and I don't think there would be any more room to add myself into it. 2.  I want to do something like this for my somewhere project because i want to do something beachy with water splashing and palm trees surrounding  3. This image is very funny to me because instead of making the little kid on the left taller, they made the dad shorter and fully fit into his pants which looks funny, and not natural. 4.  I might want to recreate this image because I like the idea of the picture frames because I have many picture frames in my room at home and at school and I love capturing pictures in them.

Sydney Sehr BW to Color

Image
Original Image:  B/W Version: 3 B/W to Color Images Triad:  Square: Split Complementary: Artist Statement:  In these pieces of art, I took a photo of me that represents my connection to the world, specifically in the city. In a city, I envision lots of people and that is why I feel connected to the world in the picture. I then changed this picture to a black and white photo. From there, I went on adobe color and picked out different palettes that I liked, and that I think popped. I wanted a pop of color because when I think of the city, I think of loud and busy.
